Gone are the days when the serials used to be such a fun.
The serials were so meaningful and interesting that everybody encouraged the young generation to watch them….. They had a lot of depth in them. We always completed our homework just to watch all those.

We sat and watched the celluloid every Sunday afternoon for a movie on our National channel, hope u have not forgotten our very own Doordarshan.

I still remember watching Chandrakantha, Ramayana and Mahabharata on National TV. Slowly and gradually Cable TV was introduced and today we have as many as 200 channels on our televisions.

As a kid I never liked the tea-time Dubbed English news on TV where the narrator would try and lip-sync the soberly dressed lady reporter unlike the ones today where reporters are hotter than the news.

There was a serial called Hip-Hip-Hurray which made me stick to my couch every Wednesday at 8 pm…

How can we forget I dream of Jeanie? where Jeanie did all the mischievous activities and master had a tough time fixing them ahh!!! so much fun all the time and not to forget adventures of Swami and his friends in Malgudi days. And many others like Duck Tales or our favorites Tehkikat or to say Byomkesh Bakshi (sorry for the spelling…)

Duck Tales ooooyooo!!!!

Was that Byomkeskh Bakshi????

Now, the situation has completely changed the other way around. At every push of a button on our remote control is a KKK-soap Kyunki, Kahani, Kasauti and I think Kab Khatam Hogi Kahani sorry for the’H’in it ,you see I cant beat Ekta in this ! All rich ladies laded and embedded with heavy saris and jewelry and tons of makeup throughout the day. You see them with make-up every time…even when they are sleeping, eating, shouting, talking to themselves, attending their husband’s demands also when they get up from sleep their saris are well ironed I don’t know what fabric is that , good the Raymond fabrics don’t hire goons to kidnap them to know the secret hahahaha……..

There is this one program titled KYUNKI …whatever, and it really has nothing related to its title. This show presents a family whose size can never be defined because of the many illicit relations
and children may come out at any stage of the serial bringing about a complete change in the dynamics of the family. The family includes a grand grand grand …………now cmon guys she is not that old grandma

I have never seen anyone smiling, joking, relaxing in the serial. It starts with actors growling and making funny faces and ends with the same, with lots of gali-galoch and rona-dhona in between. All characters speak like they have fevicol stuffed in their mouth and next in the lane comes the great great BJP loyalist Shree Shree Ma Tulsi who has not only maintained her weight but also added to her beauty 

and uss se bhi badi height is Bechari Baa, when the serial started, she was 70 plus and now after a gap of 3 slabs of 20-20 years still she is 80 plus..Kya baat he(need to ask her secret)..

seriously ekta kapoor is champion of bringing the conspiracies, churning out divorces by the dozen, remarriages at the drop of a hat ,needless scenes and the all angle extra effects makes u feel u are soon in the making of a cock eye in the name of Indian cullture and Indian Women

I watched the few episode of Ekta kapur’s Mahabharat.I am very much depressed to see this serial. It totally seems an AMERICANISED MAHABHARAT so far as costumes are concerned. The looks and dresses of the actor and actresses are like a westernised mafia don..

usse dekh ke lagta hai iska naam Kahani apne mahabhrat ki nahi kahani AAJ ke mahabharat ki hona chahiye….

THIS MAHABHARAT IS VERY DANGEROUS THE FOR NEW GENERATION because we have already seen the previous serial and movie and also read different books on Mahabharat. But most of the children of new generation do not know the story of mahabharat and they have not seen the old serial and movie. So they will have a wrong Idea about the characters of ONE OUR MOST POPULAR EPIC.

So moral of the story is, you cannot change epics, they are classics. But Miss. Ekta thinks she can change anything.. so she’s trying her best to ruin epics.

Ekta has done same with mahabharat which Ramu has done with movie sholay………..

But still the TRP of these serials are going on and on( with TRP ratings as high as 10). Fail to understand what’s the taste of audience of today.  Isn’t there any other source of entertainment

Anyways, if anyone of you readers can think of more reasons for that lady’s success, do let me know! Not that I have anything against her in personal, but I am really amused at the way she has been succeessful in fooling millions of Indians!
May be because she has the “K” factor!

All I will say is “God save our generation from Ekta Kapoor”. I wish anyone could do something… some consumer court, high court or Supreme court… nope.. I think only janta court can do something on it….

Reality Shows – is next on my list….. So all you there beware!!! He he ha ha ha….

Team Leader’s (Pradip Kashid) Take On The project:

“As a fresher,Performance Review was my first project which i feel that it would
prove to be a stepping stone in my career. At this moment i would like to thank Claudian Sir,Sanjay Sir,Sagar Sir And last but not the least Michael Sir for there priceless contribution and guidances Project brought out self confidence, coding skill, and many hidden skills which where still unknown to me. The most amazing thing about this project was that i was grouped with two girls, and till that moment i had never even talk to any girl in life,so adjusting with them was quite fun. whole project period was a roller coaster ride,we had lots of ups and downs..lots of mismatch of ideas..but eventually learned to tackle it out…i didnt just get a good team mates but also wonderful friend’s,with whom working was fun.We together learned a lot.At last i would just like to thank each and everyone at web access for their wonderful support and help.”

By Me (Kavita Tilekar):

“I still remember my first day in Web Access. we were little bit scared because on first day we had test. Bipin sir welcomed us and our journey of web access got started. everything was new. new friends new colleagues, and of course new technologies and then lots of assignments which had no ends. Initially it was difficult to manage but slowly we learned to tackle it.We enjoyed fun loving lectures for a month and after that a great day came when we assigned a project “Performance Review”. Initially we all group members got tensed that how we gonna do this?? but when we start doing it, it became fun and learning process. we really got to learn lot many things and at the same time started enjoying those moments. We had lot many arguments between team member but we learned to get patient some time and to help others. We got lot of help from Claudian sir and am really very thankful to him. also we got lot of care from Sanjay sir and technical help from Michael sir and Vilas sir. “

By Shweta Lalan:

“It was 4th march when i was assigned a project called performance review by sanjay sir and grouped me , kavita & pradip into this project At that moment i was very tensed as we were the only small group among others. But eventually when project started and we started interacting with each other it became a fun moment. I really got to learn many things during this period. so at last would like to thanks to Claudian sir, Sanjay sir, Sameer Malde & Michael Fernando for their guidance and help.”

Wonderful experience of our team:

“One great experience which we had during our project period was on 25th march. It was almost end of our project and lots of finishing task were remaining, we all were trying our level best to complete it, but at the end we realized that we needed some more time, so then we made a decision to stay back in office for whole night and achieved our goal of finishing task . this was initially very tensed moment but finally it became very wonderful moment because in the morning we were ready with our task so we went happily at our home at 6.15 A.M and hit back to the office at sharp 9AM with same energy and confidence. with new sun rise we were ready to accept new challenges. finally was our presentation day. initially we were bit tensed but we all decided to go with confidence no matter what happen n yes we did it. Everyone loved our Presentation. we came out and got relief after so long. we were smiling like anything. that was the great experience and moment we had of our Project.”
