No yaar.. We are “just friends”
Even while saying this, she wished if they were not “just friends” and she knew that the feeling was mutual. But none had ever admitted or expressed their feelings.

Finally the day dawned ‘The Valentine’s Day’. He called in the morning and they had a very casual talk. She was waiting for him to say something special. But he talked all about the cricket match that was broadcasted last night. Also there were boring discussions about notes and college and future plans. It was a typically routine conversation and then both hung up. She had a mixed feeling. She was excited as well as tensed. What if he didn’t feel anything about her! No, she knew he loved her, but didn’t express his feelings.

She sat quietly thinking of all the days they spent together and reliving the moments of how they first met and every valentine’s day that she spent alone thinking of him and expecting to hear something nice from him. Her heart skipped a beat when she thought that even this year she would be alone. Confused and tensed she just waited all day long for his call. Her heart beat faster with every tick of the clock. It was 6pm when her phone rang.

“Hello. I was thinking if we could go out for dinner tonight.”
She was filled with excitement. Was it a date or just a casual dinner? Whatever it was she knew that tonight was going to be special, but she had no idea how grand would it be…

Outside her apartment he wasted almost 10 mins to think as to what he was going to say. He held flowers in one hand and thought “I’ll go down on my knees and… no that would look too dramatic. I’ll just casually give her the flowers and we would go out.. but that would be too boring for a day like this”. He could not decide and just before he could think of anything better she opened the door. There he stood transfixed looking at the most beautiful girl he had ever seen. He kept mum and handed her the flowers because he was afraid he would utter some rubbish and spoil the mood.

He had a perfect plan of candle light dinner and romantic music which went exactly opposite. Nothing worked out as per the plan. Unexpectedly that day the place was very crowded and hence the romantic music was of no use.

There was an awkward silence as they were seated on the two cosy chairs of the restaurant. They finished their dinner silently. Outside the restaurant their was a porch were they sat in silence. He decided that he could not let go off this opportunity and finally with all the courage he broke the silence saying “Please close your eyes. I have something for you”. She closed her eyes and he kept staring at her thinking when would the day dawn when she would be with him forever. He opened a small packet and handed a box to her. She opened her eyes and found a red coloured box in her hands. Tears began to roll down her cheeks as she found a heart shaped pendant in the box. She was speechless and silence fell between them again. “You are very special for me. You have no idea what importance do you have in my life”. He kept on speaking and she wished he would never stop. At least this was executed as per plan!

Finally when they were about to leave, he bent down on his knees and said those three magical words. “I LOVE YOU”. It was magical. She expected that the evening was going to be special, but so special!!!

Express your feelings to your loved ones before its late. Even you could make someone’s evening special..

Classes, practicals, submissions, assessments, exams, interviews and finally the day dawned when i finally got to hear ‘Congratulations! You have been selected in WebAccess ‘. At that moment except for the name, i did not have any idea about the company but still it became “my company” from that very moment. All 21 of us were really excited since it was our first job and everyone was extremely happy since we thought that finally we would not have to study anymore and answer exams. So there would only be fun and a luxurious life which soon turned out to be exactly opposite. The first day itself we had to answer an exam and since then we knew that life was not going to be easy here. We all were nervous, excited, thrilled and at the same time were longing to know what exactly would be our work over here.

The first month was pure training and we had to study, solve assignments, answer exams and face the results(which was the most horrible thing of all). But very soon we got used to the environment and started enjoying the work. Our seniors kept on telling us that dedication is what is required here in Web Access and we understood the importance of the same. Every night we used to go back at 10 pm but still there were smiles on our faces because we enjoyed, enjoyed everything. We especially liked the work culture. Everyone seems to be so matured, so composed and so intelligent over here. Very soon each one of us had found his role model in the company and were trying their best to impress them as well to be like them. At 5 noon when we used to return from the tea break, we saw employees of other companies leaving for their homes. Initially we thought that they were so lucky but later we started saying that our second session starts now! This positive change in our thinking, in our behaviour and in our attitude is our real achievement here in Web Access and it is because of our fellow people in Web Access. So 10 years down the line i might be at a very high position in some other company, but i would never forget the initial days of my training, MY FIRST MONTH AT WORK.
