After spending a week for finding a room to stay in Mumbai, the day 5th of October 2009 came. The day of my joining.It was my first software job so i was quite excited as well as nervous about that.

My day started with my lots of expectation,dreams and hopes. We were ten new trainees to join.One new place with so many new faces and a new inning of the life i.e job.

The day begun with our welcome and a brief introduction about the organization. Everything was running smoothly unless we were asked to appear for a technical exam. After a three weeks long break between my placement and joining, it was really difficult for me to answer those questions. However the day ends with a satisfactory result.

Next couple of days was all about documents submission and verification with other formalities. Like schools and colleges we were assigned a time table for next couple of weeks regarding our training schedule. The day began with lectures from our seniors and it ends with a bunch of assignments and projects. Ofcourse every module ends with a exam with some minimum marks(70%) to pass that was not so easy to score. The day was passing like hours, we were spending alomst 12-14 hours in the office to learn new things and the main reason was to complete the task on time.However one thing was common with all of us i.e. even after 12 hours we were having a smile on our faces.

Every single day was like a new challenge and adventure for us. I got more than what i had expected, a good working environment with helpful and friendly colleagues. I really enjoyed my first month at work a lot and learned more about a professional life.

The date of joining in this company was 5th October i.e. Monday and I entered in the office with the partial wet clothes because that day it was raining very hard. I thought that the start was not so good because of rain but I was very much excited about the type of the environment I will get to work and I was little bit of scared about how to behave, and how to interact with the other people. But everything comes in the flow when you behave good and try to become friendly with the other people, so I followed that approach and started trying to behave in the same manner. Also I got some new friends to talk and interact as there are 11 people including me who joined the company after the selection of 21 people from CDAC.

Now the time came when the mentors and the senior people came to provide the details about the training. I was totally unaware about the working environment and for the few days I was feeling shy to talk to the other persons in the office. But as the time went I started interacting and I was feeling good.

The training started and on the first day I was to undergo a test, it was very tough and was totally new to PHP,CSS,HTML etc. For few days I was just sitting and understanding what is going on, and trying to cope up with the environment. Even on Saturdays and Sundays I came, to understand the things. So the first two weeks I was thinking that OH GOD!!! How much work and how I m going to do it. But as the time progressed I came to know the working standards and then I started implementing it.

So for the next two weeks the load got decreased and I finally was able to do the work as per the requirement.

The first month of my job was full of good and bad things and I learned a lot from that which is good for the growth and better development of my life in the software industry!!!!
