Hi friends I wanted to share my MONSOON experience in Mumbai with all of you. Here’s my blog regarding that.
Before this monsoon I enjoyed this beauty of water drops in my native place. I like “Monsoon†very much.
Till now I enjoyed rain in my home town riding bikes, playing football or playing cricket on the roof. Believe me, I hardly used umbrella or rain-coat in monsoon before facing mumbai’s rain. This is my first monsoon in Mumbai. I don’t know if i am enjoying or feeling scared experiencing monsoon in Mumbai.Enjoying monsoon

7th June 2008 (Trapped in local train by Mumbai’s rain)
http://in.youtube.com/watch?v=x_3cqOb0bOoÂ
I went to Kurla by BEST bus from Andheri to meet my brother’s friend who came from native. When i was in bus one person was telling his real story to his friend of July 26th july 2006 , how he suffered due to heavy rain. I was listening to his story, he was pointing the place where he was trapped due to rain. Then I reached KURLA station,at that time it was raining.

After that I met my friend we planned to go to CST just to visit “Gateway of Indiaâ€. That was the horrible day of my life. I experienced Mumbai’s rain in local train. We caught Fast local train from KURLA to CST. That heavy rain made that actual “fast local train” into “very slow” local train. The tracks were totally under the water. It was halting anywhere between two stations. Just before MASJID Station train halted for more then one hour in outer, beside our train another train was also halted which was going in opposite direction. Many people changed the direction of journey and changed the train. After that train reached MASJID station we also cancelled our plan to go to CST. After five and more hours rain stopped and we decided to go back to home from MASJID station.

1st July 2008 (My Office Day)
http://in.youtube.com/watch?v=PKwsDvj5NVg
It was raining heavily since 30th june to morning 1st July. I got news from Radio that most schools and colleges were closed. I wanted to go my office , I came with Ninad(my room partner) at that time. Light vehicles like Auto and Taxi were not going from “Andheri †to “ Saki Naka†. We decided to travel by bus. Bus did not have huge crowd , we picked up bus very easily from “JB Nagar†to “Chandivaliâ€.

When we were in bus , I saw one person who was very much troubled by the rain , he was in taxi , taxi was nearly in four feet water , taxi driver was trying to push taxi to out of that water at that time it was heavily raining. I was in bus so i could not help him. After 20 minutes we reached our office. That could be our quickest journey from home to office because no rush,no traffic but….. there was water and water everywhere . After reaching office we felt relaxed . After some time we received one message – “today’s tiffin will not come due to heavy rain”. Our management understood the situation and we received another message – “you all can leave office before condition becomes more critical”. But honestly i am telling one thing that after that message the rain totally stopped!!!

24th July 2008 (unfortunately my B’day)
Before 24th july(for a span of 15 days) their was no NEWS about rain in mumbai. But my B’day came and GOD started to cry cry & cryyyyy …….. nearly two continuous days. Central and Western trains suffered. All routes were closed. Me , Mike and Jiten were returning home from office by BEST bus on 25th July at 7:30pm. 7:30 PM is the time when we hardly get empty bus because of huge crowd , but that day the bus had few people apart from us, only 2-3 passengers were there in the bus due to heavy rain, lots of employees of different offices leaved their office before time.
I went to THANE to meet my friend on 26th July at morning 7:30 AM. I saw again huge water on the road. We planned to watch a movie but due to heavy rain that plan was also cancelled.

At that time I listened two BREAKING NEWS . One was Blast in BANANGALURU and second was Blast in AHAMDABAAD . I was scared….. my father was trying to call me but mobile network was also jam not because of blast but because of heavy rains. I don’t know what surprises are kept in store for me in next monsoon?

Hi Neetesh, nice blog, pic and ofcourse videos. You have shown your creativity to shoot those videos even when you were nervous in spooky mumbai rain conditions OR maybe since it was new to you, it surprised you and so you shot them to share it with your friends in your native.. vo log bhi aascharya chakit ho jaayenge.
And dont worry, yeh to sirf shuruwat hain, tune ab tak to trailer hi dekha hain. It hasnt rained that much this year. So hopefully you might get to be part of a more frenzied situation next year.
