Hi All
This blog is related to sun cetrification exam. Making the decision to study for the Sun Certification Exams is a big step. It’s a long hard road, but at the end, you will have demonstrated both your resolve to become a highly-skilled Java programmer, as well as your competency.
For those who have had prior Java experience, use the language day-to-day, and use a study guide or training course as an aid, passing the exams is far easier.
Now we will discuss the reasons to be a Sun Certified——-
Here are the top four reasons to get Sun certified:
1. Sun certifications are HOT!
Once again, several of Sun’s professional certifications have been recognized as ‘HOT’, this time by CIO Magazine.
Sun has more certifications listed than any other certification vendor.
2. Sun certifications are relevant, valid, accurate, and reliable measures of the certification candidate’s skills and knowledge.
Sun certifications go through a rigorous development process starting with a job task analysis or an understanding of what the IT professional does with the technology.
The exams are created by technology experts. The development process also employs the science and discipline of psychometrics, which ensures that the certifications are relevant, valid, accurate, and reliable measures of the certification candidate’s skills and knowledge.
3. The value of Sun certifications is recognized around the world.
4. Certified IT professionals recognize that achieving a professional credential also offers non-financial benefits.
Time needed to prepare
This is a very platform dependent question & it depends upon you only. But 2-3 months intensive preparation is a good time period if you are already familiar with Java.
And if you are working like me then you may have to prepare irregularly which can extend the preparation to even 6 or more months.
In mine case, it was around 5-6 months. So its Battlefield
When you will be on the exam desk, unlike other battlefields, your playground will be chilled from outsideand most probably you can hear your heart beats. For first stage you will struggle hard to concentrate on the examand to have a feel of the environment.
I am not saying just do the Sun certifications, But what i thik is any certification enables developer to think some odd, some different than others.
Enjoy your certification.
