एकदा ती दिसली मला,
मला पहिले तिने,
पाहताच गेलो, पाहताच गेलो,
आम्ही जात पुढे पुढे.

बघता बघता ती,
माझ्या पुढे निघून गेली,
आणि पुढच्या वळणाः वरती,
पुन्हा झलक तिने दिली.

गेला तो दिवस तीचाच विचार करण्यात,
दुसरा दिवशीही तेच राहीले माझ्या मनात,
काही सुचत नव्हते तिच्याविंना दुसरे,
आता काही तरी होणार असे मला वाटले.

असे कितीतरी दिवस मी ढकळत गेलो,
आणि सारखा तोच क्षण आठवत गेलो,
ठरवले मी मनाशीच,शोधायचे पुन्हा तिला,
काहीही करून आता मिळवायचा तिचा पत्ता.
