CiviCRM @ CodeCampMumbai
Posted by kurund.jalmi in For the Tech Savvy, Life's like this on November 19th, 2007
CodeCamp is basically an event for coders, where you just code and code and try to come up with some new software/feature etc.
CodeCampMumbai was officially sponsored by CiviCRM.
And it all began like a normal Barcamp (like any other non-conference). As we all know, most of the developers are nocturnal, yet again CodeCampMumbai was no exception and started off schedule.
I am here with one of my colleagues (Deepak) to work on Facebook plugin for CiviCRM. Some initial specs on this feature:

Vikramshila

Initially, when I was assigned to the Vikramshila project and realized it was going to be just Sameer and me, I was extremely intimidated!! Never before had I worked on project with just 2 people. I realized this was going to be a lot of responsibility, but I was still enthusiastically looking forward to the challenge.

The purpose of the Vikramshila project was to create an application that would handle and organize the educational and health records of students from a school run by the NGO, Dasra.
Our settled Life…..Thanks to inventors

I request you all to think on this as deep as you can.
Last weekend, I was traveling to go to my hometown(Pune) by Volvo bus. After travelling some distance, one thought touched my mind. What if this bus wasn’t there? How would I visit my place every weekend? This vehicle takes me there within three hours or less. I seemed to thank the inventors who invented these vehicle; in fact those who invented man’s greatest creation – the wheel.
After some time my mobile rang. I told my parents the time I would be reaching. After switching off my mobile, I started getting the same thoughts. Inventions.. Really!! Today, is it possible to live without mobiles?
