Posted by shailesh.lende in For the Tech Savvy on October 15th, 2007
In our college we never were serious towards practicals, assignments, lectures. These all seemed very hectic to all of us. But all these things were unavoidable so sometimes i wondered if i had a machine who understood my emotions and creativity that would be of great help to me…. I would enjoy the college life and would be known as scholar by the grace of my machine – “ROBOTâ€
Yes, Robot is what i meant by machine with emotions and creativity.
Here are some knowledge bites related to Robots with emotions.
First of all Can we make Robots with emotion? And if yes then the next question would be how?…..Yeah
By using Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence with combination of Fuzzy Logic.
‘Robot’ word is originated from Czech word “Roboto†means, forced worker. First arm which is pro grammaticality made for automatic working (Robot) was invented in 1979 by George Devol.
What is the need Of Emotion in Robots?
Computers or Expert Systems should be designed to recognize, express, and influence emotion in users.
Like to complete my C++ assignments, my robot has to know the way i think or the way i want the assignment to be done.

Though my home system was a dual system, never did i try Linux on it. I always wondered, “Why the hell two OSs on my machine?”, but never attempted to find the answer to it(nor did the guys who installed them knew why they were doing it…) nor did i ever try starting the system under linux environment, as windows is considered to be most comfortable and user friendy than any other(we always ask for ease in life, dont we?)…
Cut the crap…
I got to work under Linux recently, as we had to run DataSpan(the project I had been working) on linux environment(thanks to our client, RiskSpan’s, requirements). Well, we had to work hard to get DataSpan run in an unknown environment. With the help from some of our colleagues, we could understand the file system and other basic usage here and there. After a lot research and search ultimately “Pappu Paas Ho Gaya!!”. We tried with some other version of Linux: UBUNTU, FEDORA, RED HAT….
“Surprise Surprise… Pappu Phirse Paas Ho Gaya”
